Healing hands could be replaced with a prot like aiges or something around there. But... hundred blades has an 8 second recharge, 4 seconds longer than cyclone axe, anyone wanna help me on this

Well, I've tried it. It doesn't work as well as Cyclone Axe. It works, but just not as efficiently. And, with my build, Healing Hands is a major skill that i use. I don't like to swap it. But that's just me.

I always use a sword. and this skill setup is discovered by me but cant keep it in all the time

Mending (3 pip regen)8 healing)
Hundred Blades
Healing Breeze (rarely need it but never know)
Symbol of Wrath
Balthazars Aura
Balthazars Spirit
Bonnettis Defence
Vigourous Spirit

Works really well when you get the hang of it, maybe i make a video one day.
To get Hundred blades to work as effectively as cyclone axe, best thing to do is round all griffons up, cast bigorous then turn around so they are all infront of you instead of around you, this way, you hit each one and get 6-12 hp for each hit (or watevr it is) I use a 3/-1 sword hilt for farming grffons.

15- 22 fellblade req 9
Damage 13 (while enchanted)
3/-1 sword hilt
Health + 28

anything similar would work well.
Customized for me

Eh, try this... doesnt matter what one-handed weapon you use:
Smite 12
Healing 9
Tactics 10

SoW
Balth Aura
Bonettis
Healing Hands
Healing Breeze
Zealots Fire
Balth Spirit
Mending

Gather them all together, stay away from rockshots (run back to an area that was rockshot free if need be), hit bonettits if your health hits 300 (should be charged), if you are fine and good hit Healing Hands->Balth Aura->Zealots->Symbol of Wrath-> Healing Breeze -> Bonettis (wait til breeze has been cast->Healing Breeze(when bonettis flashes)->Bonettis->Healing Hands-> Balth Aura->Symbol of Wrath. Most should be dead at this point. I think my weapon has a 15% longer enchanted mod.

i tried glads but didnt like it so i run healing hands but anyway im sure that hundred blades will do just fine. I run a sword in PvE and in PvP i dont use a tank im a spike/trap/inturupt ranger. This is what i run:

8 healing
10 smiting
8 Axe
8 tactics
(this is without 30 extra att points I'm just to lazy to do them )

cyclone Axe
bonettis defense
vigorous spirit
baths Aura
healing hands
healing breeze (like Tmm i never use and sometimes switch it with symbol of wrath)
mending
live vicariously

I used this with no shield (well a strength req shield which cancels out because i don't have any strength att. and no runes what so ever. My Axe didn't have and fort mods either and i did fine.)

do u think a ranger monk could farm this build? i got better energy than warriors, so that might help things on the side of armor?

I dont even run sword. I RUN A WAND FOR GOD SAKES!!! My basic pve team build for things like sorrows and missions and random pve stuff, is a smiting build which combines the tanks health and armour, and the monk ssmiting power. The problem with my build is that if a newb gets into aggro range i dont gain energy anymore... i need monsters to hit me for energy i posted the build before but no one cared :S

bull. healing hands is just for the people who cant keep themselves alive. glads defense does damage, hence killing the griffs faster

Heh, that's what I do too. It's so freaking hard to get people to understand the virtue of a Smiting Rod/Staff. It does appreciable damage (11-22), and keeps you from having to spend points in a mele attribute since your smiting should already be 9 or higher anyway. Not to mention other benefits (ranged, pulling, enemies don't blind you, etc...).

And Ivor's Staff rocks for farming. 22 seconds of Shield of Judgement can really put the hurt on some azz.

whats the max amount of ppl you can take on with a rod/staff. Cos there is a point where any amount of hp regain won't be enough to keep you alive and you need to got to other soucres like Live Vicariously + Vigorous Spirit which won't be that handy with e staff/rod

the only way i can see it working on large groups is to echo healing hands

Here's what I use:

Cyclone Axe
Bonetti's
Symbol of Wrath
Balth's Aura
Vigorous Spirit
Live Vicariously
Mending

You could do the same with Hundred Blades instead of Cyclone - you'd just have to position yourself different.

Key to this is keeping Bonetti's and either smiting spell up as much as possible. Use Cyclone/Hundred Blades to recharge Bonetti's, which in turn keeps your energy up to cast your smite spells. When you use Cyclone to recharge Bonetti's, you also get a good healing spike from Live Vicariously and Vigorous Spirit.

BTW - I got most of this from Domidizzle, but it looks like pretty much everybody else has the same build >_<

I don't use my weapon to heal, I use it to deal damage and get enchantment benefits. Healing Breeze is my only healing. Griffons are a non-issue unless you let your health drop below 50%, so as long as you manage your health there's no problem.

But then I don't just farm Griffons in Prophet's Path. I go after Devourers, Minotaurs, and Elementals too. I ask you what's the max number of Devourers at a time you can take on with a melee weapon.

Or Hydras...

I've stressed this in a previous thread, encouraging people to think outside the box and try new and different things. It really can pay off, especially since I have a feeling Griffons are gonna get nerfed soon.

i like to think outside the box :O , but i nolonger farm that much with my warroir i prefee my monk means i can farm alot more places and its alot more changling

and i think i could kill that many Devourers without a staff, just equip SoJ and wait for them to kill them selfs

kvndoom, do you use an invinci-monk equivalent build on your warrior? Thats the only way that I manage to see being able to survive using healing breeze alone o.O

LOL Kvndoom.. Griffons are gonna get nerfed soon? They have been nerfed, they have had their drop rate tweaked, ANET knows people farm them, etc. No flame, but its always the same solution, don't farm one area too much.
